If you're ready to kick the heat and start enjoying the best that the Fall Season has to offer, the wait is over! Starting this weekend, you can enjoy events that are sure to put you into the spiced cider & wearing a scarf spirit. 

 

DC Festival of Magic - September 1 - 3 

Captial Hilton - 1001 16th Street NW, Washington, D.C.

Take some time to check out one of the 5 shows happening throughout the weekend. Hosted by Brian Curry, a performer of The Good Liar shows in the District.

Jazz4Justice - September 4 - 2 - 4:30 pm

Mr. Brown's Park - 100 West Broad Street, Falls Church, VA

Enjoy breezy tunes from Capitol Lab Big Band, a full 17-piece jazz ensemble! This family-friendly event is free to the public and will benefit the Legal Aid Justice Center. Don't forget to bring your own chair or blanket to sit and enjoy the music, raffle, and door prizes.

Cirque du Soleil ECHO - September 6 - October 22

Under the Big Top, Tysons II - 8025 Galleria Drive, Tysons, VA

Prepare to be dazzled by this 125-minute nature-themed show that explores the symbiotic relationships between humans and animals. The show is family-friendly but some scenes may be not considered appropriate for very young children.

WERA Radio Arlington MusicFest - September 7 - 5:30 - 10 pm

If you're looking for great music, free food, and family-friendly activities you've found the spot! Arlington Independent Media is hosting 96.7 WERA Radio Arlington Musicfest and it is free to the public.

Rosslyn Jazz Fest - September 9 - 1 - 7 pm

Gateway Park - 1300 Langston Boulevard, Arlington, VA

A free concert lineup that you don't want to miss! Rosslyn Business Improvement District & Arlington Arts is hosting Rosslyn Jazz Fest 2023. You'll be impressed by all of the talent showcased! Headlining is Galactic and the lineup also includes Grammy-nominated Pedro Pablo "Pedrito" Martinez. The jams don't stop there with performances by Oh He Dead and DuPont Brass, both groups based out of the DMV area.

DC Bike Ride - September 9  - 8 am

2912 Independence Ave. SW, Washington, D.C.

If you love to cycle (or even if you are playing with the idea of starting) then you can't miss this annual recreational ride through the streets of the District! The only car-free, closed-road event starts in West Potomac Park and treks through 20 miles of capital sites and monuments. Finish at the free festival that is open to the public and includes food trucks, fitness classes from #FITDC, and live music. This event is meant for all ages and skill levels!

Book Talk with Bobby Berk - September 13 - 7 - 9 pm

Tysons Galleria - 8025 Galleria Drive, Tysons, VA

Attention "Queer Eye" fans! Interior designer Bobby Berk will be hosting a book talk on his first book, Right at Home, at Tysons Galleria near Bowlero. Discover the author's perspective on how design can affect mental wellness and foster happiness at home. Free to the public and copies of the book will be distributed.

Perchfest - September 15 - 17

Capital One Center - 1805 Capital One Drive, Tysons, VA

A party in the sky to benefit Miriam's Kitchen, which serves anyone experiencing homelessness and or food insecurity in Foggy Bottom. The event takes place 11 stories up in the sky park atop Capital One Center and kicks off with a mini golf tourney at Perch Putt on Friday at 3 pm. Throughout the weekend there will be free fitness classes, live music, and great food. Free to the public but a donation to Miriam's Kitchen is suggested.

Celebrate Virginia - September 16 - 11 am - 4 pm

Tysons Corner Center - 1961 Chain Bridge Road, Tysons, VA

Celebrate all things Virginia at the dedicated Makers Market held at the plaza at Tysons Corner Center. Local artisans will have tents to sell goods while local musicians perform. Make sure you stop by the Wine Tent, for $40 you'll get a souvenir glass, complimentary tastings from eight local wineries, and a charcuterie box from Cornichon. Tickets are required and space is limited so be sure to RSVP as soon as tickets go live! Ticket proceeds benefit Food For Others.

Falls Church Festival and Taste of Falls Church - September 23 - 10 am - 4 pm

City Hall and Community Center Grounds - 300 Park Avenue, Falls Church, VA

Celebrating its 47th year, the Falls Church Festival is a family-friendly event featuring Taste of Falls Church, a beer garden, live music, children's entertainment, and local crafters' booths. Taste tickets for food and beer are $3 and amusement rides will require ticket purchase but the event itself is free.

Mosaic District Fall Festival - September 23-24 - 11 am - 6 pm

Mosaic District - 2910 District Ave, Fairfax, VA

More than 80 local vendors will take over the Mosaic District for it's annual Fall Festival. Local craftsmen will be selling food, handmade artisan or vintage wares, and more. There will be a moon bounce, pumpkin painting, live music, face painting, and hair braiding for all ages to enjoy.

Clarendon Day - September 30 - 11 am - 6 pm

3351 Fairfax Drive, Arlington, VA

Considered one of Arlington's best-loved and most diverse street festivals, Clarendon Day hosts a wide variety of fun for everyone. Attendees will enjoy a central music stage, a large Kidszone, arts and crafts vendors, business and nonprofit exhibitors, and tons of food from local and regional restaurants, as well as craft beer and virginia wine.

Samuel Beckett's Celtic Festival - September 30 - 12 - 7 pm

Sam Beckett's Irish Pub in Shirlington - 2800 S. Randolph St, Arlington, VA

Make sure your kilt is ready for the annual Celtic Festival offering traditional Irish music and dance, food, drinks, and a makers market.

MPAartfest - October 1 - 10 am - 4 pm

Mclean Central Park - 1468 Dolley Madison Blvd, Mclean, VA

Take a stroll through many tents of juried artists from the mid-Atlantic region hosted by the McLean Project for the Arts. There will be live music, the Children's Art Walk, and food vendors for everyone to enjoy.

Arlington Art Walk - October 5 - 3 - 7 pm

Central Library 3601 Fairfax Drive, Arlington, VA

Explore the creative side of Arlington at the Central Library and take a tour of its makerspace, where you can make your own art walk button. The Fred Schinder Gallery of Art will open its "Suspended Animation" exhibit, and there will be a made-in-Arlington pop-up market. Enjoy all the art your heart desires while you listen to live music!

Falls Church Farm Day - October 7 - 10 am - 3 pm

Cherry Hill Farmhouse - 312 Park Ave, Falls Church, VA

Come take a tour of the Cherry Hill Farmhouse and barn at Cherry Hill Park in Falls Church. Once part of the pre-Revolutionary War plantation, the farm was dedicated as a historic museum in 1976. If you're looking to pet some cute farm animals, you're going to love the petting farm and pony rides! There will also be pumpkin painting, scarecrow-making, blacksmith decorations, and live music. Free to the public and some activies will require a donation of $1-$7.
